The Brotherhood of Darkness, abbreviated BHOD, is a roleplaying forum, specifically proboards located at http://ezekielrage.proboards.com based around the Knights of the Old Republic Era. The official board was created by Ezekiel Rage on February 20th, 2006. His inspiration was because he and six other dudes, known as Cain, Abel, Zilfer, Si Quan, Nergul, and Raiken, were roleplaying on GameFAQs in the KOTOR 2 board. They are known as the Original Seven.
This site has gone through numeral changes, starting out with a single page for everyone to post in, detailing where they were with minimal effort. It was often chaotic. There were six chapters of what was titled KOTOR 3. Soon a new system was made, where each planet would have a board. These subboards were divided into boards that showed what rim they were in. This is still used today, though there have been even more changes to it.
A problem with godmodding arose, and the admins came up with a way to solve it. A stat system was developed, the four stats being Strength, Defense, Agility, and Force Power. It worked at first, with people grinding against NPCs to level up. However soon people started to become too strong, particularly Zilfer, Chris, and Cain, all current members. After a huge battle, it was decided that stats should be scrapped and instead people should be trusted to not godmod. New limits were made to make sure of this: the Tier System. It limited people by their post limit, to allow proven members with many posts to do as they pleased and new members to not claim all power.
This system was not well received however. The old system with leveling, presumably, gave people a reason to RP on the board. Activity plummeted, making yet another reform being needed. It was decided that stats would be returned, but with a new way of leveling. Gaining stats would be severly limited . The new system also went by Strength, Agility, Will Power, and Force Power. Strength took over Defense's purpose, and Will Power took the protection that people got from Force Power. This system is still being used to today.
